The Order Desk & AR Coordinator is the single point of entry for bull and Ideal Soil Solutions orders and the owner of receivables across Jorgensen Land & Cattle, Ideal Soil Solutions, and Lazy J Sporting Club. This full-time, on-site position is based at our Ideal headquarters and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

THE OPERATION
Jorgensen Land & Cattle is a fourth-generation, family-owned farm and ranch in Ideal, South Dakota. Our diversified operation includes Angus and commercial seedstock production, an advanced bull leasing and SmartBull programs, no-till crop production, our Lazy J Sporting Club, and our Ideal Soil Solutions brand.
We raise and market 6,250 bulls annually, most through our bull leasing and SmartBull programs, and manage over 26,000 acres of land encompassing hunting, farming, and pasture land for our cattle.
THE ROLE
The Order Desk & AR Coordinator is the single point of entry for bull and Ideal Soil Solutions orders and the owner of receivables across Jorgensen Land & Cattle, Ideal Soil Solutions, and Lazy J Sporting Club. This full-time, on-site position is based at our Ideal headquarters and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Enter bull orders from customers and field sales representatives, including quantities, cow bulls and heifer bulls, and delivery and pickup dates
Enter Ideal Soil Solutions agronomic product orders
Invoice bull orders in QuickBooks from HubSpot deals using standard terms: half down, balance at delivery, prepay discount through March 1
Notify the salesperson and cattle merchandiser the day a deposit is received
Keep order status and lease contracts current through delivery and return
Coordinate brand releases and health papers ahead of delivery
Invoice and post cash, credit card, and ACH payments for JLC, Ideal Soil Solutions, and Lazy J Sporting Club
Track aging, send payment reminders, and follow up on overdue balances
Answer customer and internal questions on orders, billing, and payments
Provide the CFO with monthly delinquency updates and ad hoc reports
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must be organized and accurate, with a track record of handling detail under deadline
Must be comfortable on the phone, including asking customers for payment
Experience with accounting software and a CRM or order-entry system is required; QuickBooks experience is preferred
Must maintain a professional, friendly tone with customers during the busiest times of the year
Associate degree is preferred
Agricultural or livestock background is preferred but not necessary
Prior accounts receivable, collections, or field sales support experience is preferred
