Cattlemen’s Week 2024

Cattlemen’s Week is a three-night, two-day opportunity for select members of our Cattle Industry. This event is filled with Pheasant hunting with friends, family & fellow cattlemen at the Lazy J Grand Lodge in South Dakota’s “Golden Triangle.” In addition to offering some of the best Pheasant hunting in the World, Cattlemen’s Week is where fellow cattlemen from across different segments of the industry can visit with each other, discuss breeding programs, cattle operations, find opportunities to work together, reminisce, and stories of children & grandchildren.

The Golden Triangle is famous for some of the best pheasant hunting in the world. For years, we had calls from customers and fellow cattlemen that wanted to bring their family or business partner to experience a great South Dakota Pheasant hunt, and visit “The Source” of Rito, Traveler & Eldorado lines of Angus genetics. While we have over 30 years of guiding Pheasant hunts, we typically do that for large groups and it is often difficult to get a large group of hunters that are accustomed to hunting with their buddies to allow someone else to join them.

With Cattlemen’s Week, we solved that problem by setting aside one weekend during the hunting season for cattlemen to gather together, visit with old friends and make new friends, hunt Pheasants, and swap stories & experiences.

If you are an outdoorsman, you have likely heard stories about the heydays of bird hunting. You’ve heard folks tell about how good the hunting was with they were young or possibly read about those days in a Gene Hill story. Well, this is your chance to make some memories of your own.

Located 5 miles from the headquarters of Jorgensen Land & Cattle, the Lazy J Grand Lodge sits in one of our 2,500 acre hunting preserves that is part of our total 20,000 huntable acres. Everything about the Lazy J Grand Lodge has been designed to ensure an unforgettable experience, from our comfortable guest rooms, Wi-Fi, beautiful scenery, relax in our Lodge room or the Loft, sit & swap store by our outdoor fire pit, or enjoy a drink at either of our two wet bars.

This Cattlemen’s Week package includes all food & drinks, including fantastic meals by Chef Dan (breakfast & diner) and field lunches while hunting. Also included are three nights’ lodging (double occupancy), guides, ammunition, dogs, and bird cleaning.

The price for the whole package is just $2,500.
